When To Look For Cresthaven: A late season variety, Cresthaven matures about a week before Elberta in late August.
Best Uses For Cresthaven: Cresthavens are delicious eaten raw on their own or roughly chopped into a peach salsa, where their strong, classic peachy flavor stands out among the peppers and tomatoes.
How to Store Cresthaven Peaches: If your peaches need to soften up a bit, don't put them in the fridge, as this will cause them to lose some of their sweetness. If you need to speed up the ripening process, place them in a paper bag on your counter for a day or so, then store them in the fridge when they're ready. These peaches freeze well for mid-winter smoothies!
