When to Look for Raspberries: Raspberries come into season just as strawberries are beginning to taper off, typically starting in early July and continuing until the frosts.
Best Uses for Raspberries: In British Colombia, only 3% of raspberries are consumed fresh, and the rest are either frozen or processed into jams, jellies, baked goods, vinegars, and as flavoring for high-end beers.
How to Store Raspberries Delicate raspberries are infamously difficult to store. To keep their fragile structure from collapsing or crumbling place the raspberries in a colander or shallow tray blanketed with paper towels. Do not wash the raspberries prior to serving them, as any excess moisture will encourage mold. Place the raspberries in the fridge, or if you plan to wait more than a week, freeze the berries.
